Seven Years of Marriage, Seven Years of Pain 1
"Hello, little ones. I'm your Mommy's older sister. I'm Tang Wanyu." She introduced herself to the little buns who were hiding behind the crippled man she had met on the first day she came to Peach Blossom Garden. Tang Wanyu wasn't sure what her sister's relationship was with this man, but she could tell that they were intimately close to each other.
"Baobao? Little Star? Aren't you going to greet your Aunt Wanwan?" Tang Moyu asked her children as she sat down for lunch with Feng Tianyi and her sister, who decided to join them. She was glad that her older sister looked better these days compared to the first time she'd seen her after so many years of no communication between them.
Today, she decided to work at home and have Cheng Ning deliver her paperwork here so that she could accompany her sister and her children. She also had to consider the possibility of Han Shaohui arriving at her door anytime to try and retrieve his wife from her care. As if the empress would allow such a thing to happen.
"Are you really our Mommy's sister?" Xiao Bao furrowed his brows together, making his cute handsome face contort with confusion. He and Little Star had already met their Uncle Beixuan a year ago when he came to see their Mommy in New York, but this was the first time they were meeting Tang Wanyu.
Tang Wanyu didn't look anything like their mommy, but Xiao Bao supposed that it was normal that siblings didn't resemble each other, just like him and Little Star.
"En. I'm the eldest of the three." Tang Wanyu gave them a gentle smile, so different from Moyu's cold countenance and Beixuan's cheery personality.
The little buns seemed to accept her explanation, but they didn't easily click with their aunt, unlike they did when they first met Lin Qianrou and Elaine Wu. The two decided to play in the garden, with Hunter trailing after them and their nannies following close behind them to keep an eye on them in order to prevent another incident from happening to the children.
"Wan Jie, have you considered my suggestions?" Tang Moyu didn't waste her time and confronted her sister. She'd already shared Tang Wanyu's options with her if she truly wanted to cut ties with her husband and their conniving mother.
Tang Wanyu's hold on her cup tightened as she stared down her drink while she contemplated.
She knew she shouldn't be disclosing this sensitive topic to other people, but Tang Wanyu was tired of being blamed for everything she had no control of. Her in-laws kept on blaming her for her incompetence when in fact, they had no idea that Han Shaohui was the one who couldn't give her a child. Perhaps, she was lucky that there was no child produced from their union, it would be easy for her to demand for divorce without worrying over a child that may be used against her.
"Moyu, I've decided… I'll ask for divorce, but I'm sure my husband wouldn't agree to it." She told her younger sister, whom she never thought would be the only one who would deny their family's influence and would refuse to submit under the Han family's pressure.
She had tried to demand her freedom back herself before, but the physical abuse from her husband and emotional turmoil from her mother had worsened from the moment she brought it up and it almost drove her insane. She wasn't sure if Moyu would be able to help her with this.
"As long as you are certain that this is what you want, as your sister, it's only natural for me to help you, Wan Jie." Tang Moyu replied, pleased with her sister's decision. This would make it easier for her and Feng Tianyi to ruin Han Shaohui and his family.
Thinking about it, wasn't the previous CFO of Tang Enterprise Han Shaohui's uncle? Since that old man was brave enough to steal from her family business, it was payback time, with a heavy interest.
Tang Wanyu regretted that she wasn't able to help Moyu years ago as her older sister, but she wasn't doing well herself either back then. Though she wanted to, Tang Wanyu knew she couldn't do anything to help Moyu.
"Moyu, do you blame me? Back then, when you asked mother for help and she kicked you out of the estate, I wasn't able to help you." She asked her aloof sister.
What she liked about Moyu the most was that she would never blame anyone nor would she hold a grudge for too long, no matter how much their family had forsaken her. Tang Moyu might have acquired the control of Tang Enterprise using an underhanded trick, but Tang Wanyu thought that if there was anyone in the family who was able to pull the strings and achieve the feat of saving their family business, that would no doubt be Moyu.
Tang Moyu placed her chopsticks down and twined her fingers as she regarded her sister. It was all in the past and she knew that her Wan Jie wouldn't be able to save her. The Tang family had forsaken her back then. She might have initially come back to help them, but what she discovered instead was another trick to fool her.
"It wasn't you who wronged me, Wan Jie. When the time comes, I will make sure all of them pay their dues."
