Chapter 60  : What’s Mine

The Sports Center was immediately filled with people as they crowd the entire stadium. Many were outraged. Others were confused. While a few had been surprised to silence.

The building was two floors high, yet their screams were loud enough to echo throughout the vicinity.

“When will the school be able to give us a solution? Either you expel the student, or we’ll be transferring our child somewhere else!”

The Director had never really encountered such a troubling sight, at least, except today. His forehead covered in a cold sweat, the old man tried his best to comfort the crowd. “The school leaders have already held an emergency meeting to discuss how to deal with this,” he stated. “We will not be disappointing the parents. Now, if you’ll please wait patiently.”

“My child is in the top 50—1et me tell you, and he’ll be going to Beijing for his university schooling. If anything were to jinx his opportunities, will the school be held accountable? If that…that monster is not expelled, we’ll be transferring schools!”

The director simply forced a smile. “Please don’t worry, parents.”

On the other side of the campus, the principal’s office was also crowded with people.

Everyone was tense, that is, except for the young man sitting behind the desk.

“Young Master Cheng, how should we go about this?” The principal was trembling in the aftermath of the event. “The matter had just gotten out of hand, and many teachers came to look for me. If Yao Tang is not expelled, their parents will transfer their children to another school.”

The matter was way too big for the board to carry.

After all, it wasn’t just a few parents who had been disgruntled, but all of them!

If they couldn’t give a good enough solution for this, around two thousand will be transferring to a school somewhere else. What will they do now?

Even Meng Yang didn’t know what to do.

Apparently, this whole thing was directed against Yao Tang someone wanted to bring her down,

He clenched his jaw. Whoever this person was, they were ruthless for sure, picking this occasion of the ceremony with students and parents of the entire senior grade.

Cheng Yan crossed his legs, leaning against the sofa. His crisp black shirt rippled slightly from his movements, but his facial features remained as emotionless as ever.

He chuckled. “If they want to transfer schools, let them. Yao Tang had done nothing wrong,” he said, his voice reverberating across the room. “The ones who had caused all of this should be the ones expelled from this school. I’m sure it’s not a difficult matter for the principal to investigate himself.” Meng Yang froze.

So he truly was backing Yao Tang up.

Glancing at the cool smile painted across the man’s face, he couldn’t help but shiver. Well, they had one thing in common-that was for sure.

“Young Master,” the principal stuttered. “Please don’t joke around about this. Many of these students are from the first class. Without them, the school’s enrollment rate would plummet.”

Right, today’s matter wouldn’t be easy to handle.

As the adults were speaking, Yao Tang and Lin Xin stood quietly at the side.

Yao Tang stood beside Cheng Yan with her hand shoved into her pockets. She stared at the wall, refusing to look anybody in the eye.

There was silence for a few seconds before Mrs. Meng spoke out, “Why don’t we just transfer Yao Tang to another school?”

Transferring her would be the perfect alternative.

Cheng Yan had already made sure to keep the news under wraps that it wouldn’t affect Yao Tang’s future at all. However, he raised his head with a scowl.

It’s just that she’d be forced to adjust to the people’s dislike. The problem really offered no other alternatives. They truly needed to find out the mastermind of today’s incident.

“I don’t know how willing you are to mistreat what’s yours,” he slowly responded, tilting his head. “But I don’t allow anyone to mistreat what’s mine.”

Sure, she had hit him back then.

But ever since the young woman had entered the No.l High School, she had done nothing wrong. Why should she have to swallow her anger like this?

The person he had taken an interest in shouldn’t be wrongedwhatsoever.

Yao Tang glanced at the cruelly smiling man beside her. Her dark eyes narrowed inevitably, but her stance was unchanged. Mrs. Meng choked. “1 hadn’t mean it like that-?I‘

Knock, knock, knock!

Suddenly, the office door had been pushed open, and a middle-aged man stepped in. He was soon followed by a few of his other assistants—all dressed up in uniforms. “Principal, I demand you expel Yao Tang! It’s too much. I won’t allow some students to tarnish the reputation of No.l High School! My son had worked so hard, and his learning environment shouldn’t be skewed by this-by this child! I’ll call the people from the special education facility to take her and—?I‘

The man immediately went to a stop when he saw the cool man sitting by the sofa. “Young Master Cheng?”.
