Alex faced some guards, but he made short work of them, and in less than two minutes, he was inside the treasury.

Alex knew that time was of the essence, so he didn't even consider using his eyes or the Red gem to check hundreds of individual items, knowing there would be a few measures in place to keep the core hidden.

Alex spent a million on the highest grade of 'information extractor' service to eliminate the possibility of failure, and in less than two minutes, he located the core.

However, the troubles did not end there because the core was not in a condition to be used by anyone but a single man in the entire city, and currently, he was busy defending the city from a monster who was killing humans and beasts alike and raising them as his undead puppets.

'You must be kidding me,' Alex thought as he looked at the description of the fist-size gray star in his hands.

Description: Astral Blessing is an Elemental Core derived from a fragment of an Elemental Star's core. It possesses the unique ability to augment the abilities of light element users, serving as both a catalyst and power source.------

However, after three decades of deprivation from any energy source, the core had significantly depleted its reserves, diminishing the benefits it could offer and requiring a decade of gradual recovery to reach its peak condition.

Nevertheless, it still retained its potential as an energy catalyst capable of refining outsider energy, making it purer and more potent before providing it to external sources.

-----------

The core external needed a source of energy to power the weapon, and because its nature was of pure light element, it was useless in Alex's hands.

As a matter of fact, the core was useless in the hands of anyone besides an Elemental Ruler because only an individual of such a level could hope to bring out its true potential in a short period and provide enough potent mana needed to create a truly devastating attack needed to take out the fallen Seraphian.

Alex thought there should be another solution as Zero couldn't expect that players could break into the armory when the clan area was fully guarded and hoped to stand against an Elemental Ruler to stall for time.

So he began to search for a solution inside the event shop, but even after looking through every available option, Alex was not able to locate something that could provide tremendous light element energy or even natural mana to the core.

'No one on the battlefield can hope to stand their ground against, so as much as I hate it, I will need to use the Monarch Aura to have any chance of keeping him at bay for a few minutes,'

'I will need to use it once more in the fourth Stage, and using it at that time is more important than today, so what should I do,' Alex thought, feeling a dilemma as to what he should do.

'I can try my luck with summoning an Elemental, and if I lucked on someone like Nyla, then maybe I can make things work by using my time skills,' Alex thought, but he didn't get his hopes up knowing that from the tens of figure he had summoned none even came close to touching the heels of an anomaly like Nyla.

Alex felt the urge to curse, realizing he didn't have the luxury of time to brainstorm for a solution. Now, the only solution was to give Patriarch Galatan the core, and while he prepared the clan weapon, he would need to hold Daenal at bay.

Both tasks were daunting, if not outright impossible, to accomplish, but in the current situation, with every passing moment lowering the chances of success, Alex decided to put all thoughts aside and focus on what he could do.

Alex used the temporal beacon skill to teleport outside the palace, but instead of rushing to the frontline, he observed the combat zone as he used the Ruler Pride skill to push his strength to peak Fifth Rank and then used Dragon Might to push his stats to their limits.

After taking a deep breath, Alex used the Summon Elemental skill and used twenty million points of mana, which was the current limit of the skill, and gave one glance to the massive dark circle that appeared on the ground.

Alex gazed at the changed battlefield that was in complete chaos p; the giant city wall that stood tall had fallen, and beasts and undead creatures alive were spilling inside by hundreds as defenders worked to maintain their line.

Daenal ghostly appearance had undergone a complete transformation, as his ash white skill covered in cracks was now just ash white, he was thin but not bony, his eyes were sunken and dark, but they had more life to them, and his wings had fell apart were growing back, as pitch dark features covered them.

It was evident that with every passing moment, Daenal body was getting accustomed to the energy of the crown, and with it, he was growing stronger, and everyone on the combat zone could sense it.

The Seraphian clan patriarch was clearly stronger, but he was not dominating the battle because Daenal had cracked free of the domain and did so multiple times, keeping their their battle open, and because of that, Galatan was not able to go all out.

The Elemental Ruler had the ability to use an open version of their domain, which was weaker, but maintaining it also cost them vastly more energy than the enclosed domain, so unless necessary, they never used it.

As seconds ticked by, Alex shifted his eyes back to the summoning domain, and seeing the darkness shrinking and gathering in the center, he appeared a few meters away from the dark cocoon, hoping that the summon would be strong.

'Yes, hell yes,' Alex shouted in his mind as he gazed at the stats of the figure before him that were shown as ??? and his spirit was non-existent, and they both meant he was strong, genuinely strong.

"While Ruler was smart enough to figure out where the nucleus was located and even found it, It appears that because of his trust in his strength and because of the circumstances, he failed to recognize how he could charge the light core and activate the weapon,"

"Ruler just required to take the nucleus to Seraphian clan's door, and he would be rushed to one of the Elders guarding the clan, and then he could share how the same array powering the city barrier could be used to power the core, and the rest will be taken care by the clan members," Zero said, as the screen shifted from the view of the large chamber filled with weaponry to building roof close to the city entrance.

"But As Ruler has decided to take the harder route, now he will need to show that he is competent in keeping Daenal from going on a killing spree for Galatan to leave the front line,"

"After Galatan departs to ready the weapon, Ruler will need to hold off Daenal for a span of four to six minutes before he can rest, and the city would be considered safe,"

"While accomplishing the task was going to be anything but easy, he had shown us so many surprises, and I don't doubt he will disappoint us at such a critical moment," Zero said, showing the large pool of darkness on the ground before shifting to a widespread view of the battlefield.
