'Nice work, boys,' Alex thought as he stretched his void sense to cover both battles happening in the surroundings.
Alex had used Chrono Sanctuary to save his physical condition and then used the Dragon Monarch Aura, and in a usual scenario, the 1000% elemental boost came at the cost of extreme damage to the body and all laws becoming murky for the next seven days.
But with the ability of Chrono Sanctuary, Alex could practically cheat his way from the complete consequences as his physical condition will revert to when he saved it.
Alex would still suffer the seven-day penalty for not being able to progress with any darkness law, but that was a minor price for the power he could wield.
Alex had tested the skill combination and knew it worked, so it was currently the true trump card in the arsenal, but it was one he would only use as a last resort in a situation that demanded it.
When used with the Chrono Sanctuary, besides not receiving any physical injuries, the Monarch Aura skill cooldown was also reduced from 30 days to just seven days, a second blessing.
Alex could also maintain his sanity for 3 minutes and 20 seconds tops, but even then, he was not keen on using the skill at every opportunity he got because it didn't come without consequences.
While Alex didn't receive any physical injuries, he was mentally affected, as his reaction time and senses became a bit dull, and even his thoughts became clouded. These conditions only worsened if he used the skill twice in two weeks.
'The Corpse Eater will appear in about a hundred seconds, and I have around three minutes before I go out for good,' Alex thought as he sensed Killian's piercing gaze as he lay on his back in the ruble.
Killian's smile stretched wide as his aura began to grow, taking a dark crimson hue that turned the ground it came in contact with to dust, showing its destructive capabilities.
'Stygian Lance'
Alex raised his hand and conjured a calm sphere of darkness, its ominous glow intensifying before unleashing a torrential beam of darkness directly at Killian.
Killian moved like a blur, his laughter echoing louder and louder, yet it was swiftly downed by the reverberating hum of the energy that tore through the air and met its target head-on, pulling him back into the ground.A massive boom was heard on the impact, and tens of meters of land was devoured by the energy beam, which turned the ground to dust and sent widening cracks and pulsing show waves through the surroundings.
Killian wielded the element of destruction that, besides its overwhelming destructive ability, was also good for protection, and in the hands of a berserker with overwhelming strength, monster's vitality, and great intuitive battle sense, taking him down was not going to be as easy as a single good hit.
Killian was strong, no doubt about that, but he was not much stronger than a regular Beast king, so Alex could have won without using the Dragon Monarch Aura, even if it would have been a close battle.
Alex was using the skill to win the battle with a crushing victory, and as his plan was ruined, he also wanted to kill the Corpse Eater and earn the unknown benefits.
'Stygian Bastion'
Alex created a multi-layered shield to defend against the five energy slashes that came right as the energy beam ended, and following that, he swung his sword charged with sword intent and mana, meeting the massive maul that ripped through the shield through its sheer destructive might.
Their weapons met, creating a shockwave that pushed both of them a few steps back, and as Killian moved ahead to close the distance, he was met with an energy beam at point blank, sending him crashing back to the ground.
'Abyssal Chains' 'Ebon Lance Rain'
Alex used a superior version of two common spells, binding Killian in place before raining down close to a hundred Ebon Lance, all concentrated on his position.lights
A giant crater had formed when the rain of destruction ended, and at this point, Killian had a bloodied face, a solid chuck of face having turned dark and skin eaten away from the continued exposure to deteriorating energy.
The damage to his body was visible, but the real damage was being done to his inside, as the corrosion ate away at his vitality, acting like a poison to his mana as he fought to cleanse his body from the foreign energy, losing solid chunk health in the process.
However, the smile on his never faded, with the only thing changing about him being his growing aura and the clarity in his eyes and in the chaotic madness that oozed from him, he spoke two words in a deep reverberating voice.
"Vareiði Supremacy"
'I knew the chances were slip, but he could have this broken skill,' Alex thought, as he felt the destructive wave of mana followed by a guttural roar, reminding him of the event that made Killian famous in his previous life.
Killian had used the same skill and had gone on a rampage on the Dragon Mainland, going toe to toe against a Dragon Elemental Ruler who had fallen to the Curse and won with his sheer physical dominance.
Killian didn't come out unscathed, as he was killed moments after his impossible victory, but with a single appearance, he was recognized as one of the strongest players.
'I have fifty seconds to warp this up, so let's make the most of it,' Alex thought as dipped appeared on the ground.
'Tenebrous Shard Enclave'
Alex decided to go all out, to gain every advantage he could to acquire the crushing victory, and as the hundred-meter dome took shape around him, it boosted his already monstrous elemental damage.
As the final round began, Alex began unleashing the elemental fury he was capable of wielding, throwing one attack after the other, which Killian met head-on.
Killian had received a tremendous boost to his speed, strength, and elemental prowess while aprotective barrier enveloped him, forged from the swirling essence of destruction, that gave him physical and magical protection.
But even then, with his relentless attempts to close the distance or deliver a ranged attack, he failed to do so, and seeing that was a great shock to the audience.

(Live Stream Commentary)
"I can't share Killian's current stats, but I can assure you that he has far surpassed the Rutharok king he killed with the trick, and with his current elemental capabilities, a fair battle against him and the same creature would not last sixty seconds,"
"So you can understand that the beatdown Killian is receiving is not because he is incompetent in wielding his strength, but he had just found a bigger anomaly than himself and is paying the price," Zero said as he revealed the ongoing battle inside the dome.
The viewers had seen what Killian had been capable of, and so did they know about Alex, but after seeing the Rutharok king getting killed, like a no-name creature, everything following that had been confusing to them, to say the least.
They saw Alex on the back foot for a few moments before his demeanor changed when a menacing dragon assumed form behind him, and from that point on, he turned into a monster that Zero compared with someone in between an Elemental Ruler and a Peak Elementalist.
The real shock had been obtained by decently talented players, as they didn't understand how to react after seeing two monsters who was able to reach a similar level to what was considered the false peak even among the NPC.
"Killian's fate is sealed, but the same cannot be spoke for the Corpse Eater," Zero said, a rare smile spreading on his face.
