Chapter 401 Elder Darrien True Domain
?401 Elder Darrien True Domain
Alex needed to wait for the Emperor to wake up to continue the quest, and with his encounter with the Champion of Sin, he was again reminded of his laking mental defense.
Alex had the perfect tool to strengthen his mental defenses, the Abyssal Resonance Spirit Art that he acquired from the Final Test Of Might mission, but for the time being, it was useless.
The Abyssal Resonance Spirit Art had given him the Soul Infusion Skill that later evolved into minor soul energy manipulation, but that was just a side benefit he received from acquiring the art.
The spirit art was the same as battle arts, and just like them, he needed to achieve a certain condition to gain knowledge and begin practicing it, and the very first condition for the spirit art was to be able to sense his own soul.
While Alex could use the soul energy through the system and mold it with great concentration, he was far from being able to control it freely, but it would change once he advanced to the Fifth Rank.
While Alex was free from the worry of saving the Emperor, he was not completely free as now he needed to find out what the demons were up to.
Alex could create another persona, join the demon cult, and then get into their inner circle to get the information, or he could simply go on a tear and extract information from any influential cult member he could lay his hands on, and this was exactly what he planned to do.
He would be in the limelight, and his actions and movements would be predictable after some time, which could be used to give him false data or, worse, lead him into another trap.
So, Alex knew that he just required to act quickly enough and get what he needed before the cult could take measures against him. Alex was also certain that Ahrimon would know that he would take such actions, and after the recent message he sent, he either had prepared countermeasures to ensure his plan was not affected, or he couldn't care less even if Alex found out about it.
As he made a plan, Alex returned to the Elven Continent because Lady Ana?lle was waiting for his arrival before she confronted the Elven Empress.
Lady Ana?lle just wanted the information on the core and was not planning to do any damage to the elves, and his two protectors had decided to accompany her just in case things got out of hand.
Alex was nearly sure that the Elven Empress had ties with Demons, as her adopted daughter was no more than a puppet for the Sin champion, but he could additionally be wrong.
The Elven Continent was supposed to be the first to get invaded by Devourer Beasts, yet now it appeared that fate was given to the Human Continent, which could very well be because she has joined the ranks of the demon Ahrimon puppets.

"Sometime Later"
As Alex entered the real space and regained his sight, he was welcomed by the sight of four figures standing by the side of the calmly running lake, with the most eye-catching figure among them being the Elven Empress.
"Domain Ruler, It is our pleasure to meet you and the great master by your side," The Elven Empress moved forward and said with a gentle smile.
"Great Domain Ruler, I have a message from Lady Calista for you," A deep voice sounded as a handsome man walked ahead of the Empress.
"She says if you want to complete the unfinished business, then she can arrange a place for just the two of you any day you desire," The man said with a grin on his face.
Alex didn't even need to check the man's status to know he was the Wolf Emperor, one of the Two Beast Emperors ruling the Elven continent.
Alex was rightfully pissed by the blatant mockery but kept control of his emotion, and as he was just about to share the promise he made himself, Before he could even say a word, a few words echoed near his ears.
"Graveyard of the Malanium Battles" In an instant, Alex's vision blurred as he felt a momentary heaviness, and before he even regained his sight, he knew that he was inside an Elemental Domain.
As he opened his eyes, he saw an ocean of blood, with mountains of mangled bodies and decayed weapons that stretched far and wide in every direction with seemingly no end to their numbers.
The sky was crimson, and the air was putrid, hard to breathe, and permeated with the overwhelming stench of decay.
The Domain looked similar yet different to what Alex remembered, as, besides the overwhelmingly large mountain of corpses and their vast numbers, the feel was different, which was hard to describe in words.
"We come in peace, but we will not back down from a battle." Alex was lost in thought when he heard the booming voice of the Elven Empress, and seeing her eyes cloaked in evident fear, he was a bit surprised.
"The Wolf will pay the price, and if any of you try to interfere, then this battle will only escalate," A deep yet calm voice echoed through the domain.
Elder Darrien's crimson eyes pulsed with might as he let loose his aura, and As Alex subconsciously used appraisal on him, he was surprised to discover his Rank, which had changed from peak Eight Rank to middle stage Night Rank.
The change in strength was massive, and it explained the fear in the eyes of four middle-stage Elemental Rulers because, as much as they consider themselves to be strong, they knew better than to stand against someone who stood at the pinnacle of the world.
In an instant, Elder Darrien's figure vanished, and before Alex could shift his eyes back to the group of four, he heard a primal roar cloaked in pain and rage.
Alex saw Elder Darrien standing in the distance, holding an arm that he threw aside the next moment, and tens of meters away from him stood the Wolf Emperor, Fenrik Treznor, bleeding profusely from his left side with his arm missing in its entirety.
The roar was not from pain but more so from rage, as pitch-
dark furr was growing from all over his body, his physique growing in size as his muscles swelled, his body morphing into the humanoid beast.
In mere moments, Fenrik turned into a creature with midnight dark Furr, standing over five meters tall, with his lost arm recovering at a visible speed.
"You have the blood of the great Wolf Monarch Fenrir, who lost his life in anoble battle to defend this world, yet you spineless coward sully his bloodline,"
"I was going to allow you to live your miserable life, but it appears that even the world wants a vermin like you gone," Elder Darrien said, making the end of this battle clear.
Fenrik roared as his blurred figure lunged at Elder Darrien, but an instant later, Alex heard a massive impact, and looking at its source, he saw that the towering beast had a gaping hole in his chest, making his dark furr drenched in crimson blood, as he get back to his feet.
Alex saw nothing, but he didn't need to see to understand that the difference in strength was massive and the defeat of the beast was all but guaranteed.
