Chapter 349 Legacy of The Outsider Alex first focused on unlocking the 'Space Trove' skill as it was most important, so he first gathered the ten million points needed, which took him less than two hours.
After unlocking the skill, Alex didn't need to sit in the treasury chamber and burn through material, as he could fill the material inside the space and turn them into energy points.
However, for the number of energy points he needed, it would take a few days of waiting, which he didn't want.
Alex needed ninty million energy points to expand the space to the thousands of meters mark, but before he could do that, he needed the gem quality to be upgraded to legendary as it was needed to expand the space over five hundred meters, and the upgrade required a hundred and sixty million points.
Alex wanted to first upgrade the gem quality to legendary as it would help improve the skills, and getting the required points would take around twenty-six hours, but he could cut the time down to half by burning material both inside the space pocket and outside simultaneously.
So after filling the hundred-meter space with a few hundred corpses of Fifth and Sixth Rank creatures, natural treasures, ores, and anything that could be turned into energy points, Alex returned to burning through materials to gather the energy points.
After nearly twenty hours, Alex was done upgrading the gem to legendary quality and expanding the space pocket to a thousand meters, giving him space similar to a giant warehouse.
Alex also gathered a hundred and eighty million energy points, enough for him to cure a single batch of sixteen thousand and five hundred individuals, with them ranging from first to Sixth Rank.
The resources Alex burned to gain these energy points would easily surpass a few billion in gold coins in worth, so even though the gem was capable of many great things, the sheer cost of using it was nothing short of Ludicris.
After everything was prepared, Varon took Alex to the eternal resting place, which housed millions of dark crystalline transparent coffins with domain inhabitants kept in a state of deep freeze to prevent their bodies from mutating.
Varon asked Alex to pick five hundred individuals of his choice from the vast number present, and seeing that his surroundings had no coffins with any other race besides humans, he swiftly moved to pick the lucky five hundred individuals, prioritizing younger individuals.
The process continued seamlessly, with Varon expertly navigating through the vast expanse of the resting place.
As they moved to different locations within the eternal resting place, each designated for a specific race, the number of individuals grew inside the space grove.
After an hour of work, the duo successfully picked sixteen thousand five hundred eighty individuals, with the last five hundred eighty individuals being the pick of varon, with those individuals being important figures of various big and small clans.
The vast majority, over twelve thousand individuals that were picked, were mortals. They were of mixed standings, and even though Varon could have just made Alex pick figures related to influential households or individuals, he didn't do it.Because healing influential figures would gain him just the respect of their clans, families, and such, healing common folks would not only give him respect and recognition among the domain inhabitants but also act as a source of newfound hope for the inhabitants and create an atmosphere of peace among them.
Now everything was done, and all that was left was for Alex to quickly complete the deal with the guilds, and then, he could log out and focus on his first Rank promotion in real life.
--------------
In a quietly adorned room, a simple yet creatively crafted circular table took center stage, with twenty cozy chairs encircling the table, offering an inviting space for calm discussions.
The room emanated a sense of tranquility, with subtle details capturing the essence of dwarven craftsmanship with rich mana in the air.
Alex sat on a chair facing straight to the door, enjoying his almost empty cup of crystal-clear green tea while he waited for Venedikt to arrive.
'The dwarfs sure know how to brew some good teas,' Alex thought, savoring the last of his tea before shifting his focus to the door.
An instant later, the door was opened, and a cloaked figure entered whose footsteps did not make a sound, and his presence was minimal, like that of a skilled assassin, with his aura barely present, and seeing these changes put a smile on Alex's face.
Venedikt's hood disappeared into thin air before he stretched his arm wide with a bright smile stretched across his face, and Alex stood up, greeting his brother with a warm hug.
"So, how did your last nine weeks go?" Alex inquired as he poured tea for himself and Venedikt.
"Bussy and Stressful but definitely the best and happiest days of life, and it was all thanks to you," Venedikt said, his eyes reflecting gratitude as a warm smile graced his face.
"Tell me that the legacy belongs to someone special," Alex asked, after tapping Venedikt to show he shouldn't bring up such a topic.
"It is not normal, and even though it does not belong to some Monarch, it definitely belongs to someone special,"
"Because The legacy gave me an elemental physique, and it not only gives me five hundred stat points on every Rank promotion, but it has also given me a skill that allows me to extract the essence of anything with void energy and use it to increase my stats," Venedikt said, making Alex look at him with wide eyes.'What a coincidence that Venedikt had such a physique staying dormant just like me, and seeing this description, I say it is of similar grade to mine,' Alex thought, a smile breaking on his face as curiosity welled in him to know more about the physique.
"So you awakened an elemental physique. Tell me more about it and your legacy," Alex asked, knowing an appraisal would only give him simple information.
"I didn't awaken the physique. It was given to me by the physique, or more like my body was reforged into a physique," Venedikt said as he sipped his tea.
"What? The Legacy forged you a physique?" Alex questioned, surprised at the revelation.
"I am not well informed on elemental physiques, but after some research, I found out it was possible to create an elemental physique artificially, but to create something above a unique grade should not be possible,"
"But it certainly is because the final legacy trial reward was my body getting forged into an elemental physique, and it certainly did," Venedikt replied.
'Domain Ruler, ask your friend how his legacy trials went in detail,' Elder Darrien's voice echoed in Alex's mind.
"Tell me everything in detail, how the trial went, and I mean everything," Alex asked.
"It was nothing special. I just accepted the final legacy trial, and after some time, I acquired the physique," Venedikt said, followed by a dry laugh.
"In Detail, Please," Alex uttered again, now even more intrusted because he knew his brother well enough to know he only vaguely answered when he didn't want to talk about something.
"After I was found eligible to take on the legacy trial, the very first legacy quest required me to build resistance against the erasing energy of the void, which took me over a month to complete,"
"The second trial required me to go to a well of nihility, and I didn't need to work on finding it as a portal was opened that consumed me strait on an unknown island with a pool being seven kilometers deep into the field of dark mist,"
"The field of dark mist was highly corrosive, burning through my health in three minutes, which turned to thirty seconds as I got closer to the well, and the intangibility potions I prepared did not work, so it was the fastest run of my life to reach the place as I only had three health potions,"
"It was well on a pitch dark, barren land, oozing the dark mist, and final trial required me to jump into it, which I did,"
"The next thing I knew, I was in pitch darkness, and there was pain, pain so horrible that just thinking about it sends shivers down very being,"
"The process lasted for an unknown period, and all that time, I was awake in a state of semi-consciousness, and in my mind, the pain ended on the sixth day, and then there was darkness for another five days,"
"While in that condition, I thought I was hallucinating, but after I regained conciseness, laying naked in the training chamber of the domain, which was my last location,"
"All my equipment gone, mostly likely destroyed by the energy from the well, while the staff was missing, which I summoned in a moment, and after seeing the time and notifications, I knew I was not imagining the time to be stretched long,"
"After getting to my senses, I first checked the staff, seeing I had passed the final trial, and then I progressed to the system log to see what transpired, and I found that it had been eleven days, and I had acquired an Elemental physique of Ancient Grade that was of growth type,"
"The Elemental physique is named 'Amorphous Void Aberration' while the legacy belongs to someone named The Outsider," Venedikt said, leaving Alex thoroughly impressed but also worried by what he went through.
