After the greeting, the Chief Captain gave Alex a black bell similar to one the head maid gave him and told him to ring it if he ever needed his help, and then he and Varon left him alone with the guard regiment captain.
'I am not surprised that the guard Chief Captain is a peak eighth Rank warrior, but even the seven regiment captains are early to mid-Eighth Rank warriors.' Alex thought after he was done meeting seven of the ten guard regiments captain.
Gryldran, The Chief Captain, was a berserker and belonged to the Dragon Race, while the seven regiment captains belonged to different races, and surprisingly one of them was an Orc who looked nothing like the ugly Orcs.
'I wonder if I will receive more of these black bells.' Alex thought, checking the stat window of the black bell.
Alex received nine black bells, one from the head maid, one from the chief captain, and seven from the regiment captains.
Each bell had a soul imprint of the individual who gave it to him, and when Alex will ring the bell, it would send a signal to that person of his exact location from any distance, and the best thing was that the bell signal couldn't be blocked with any kind restriction magic.
Alex spent around half an hour touring the training area, and it was an absolute blast for him because he only ever had talked with very few fifth Rank warriors in his life, and they were all very proud and cocky and treated him like air.
But now there were thousands of Rank five and above warriors all around him trying their best to start a conversation with him, and even though Alex understood it was only because of his status that he luckily acquired, but he also knew this was his new reality.
There were ten palace guard regiments, but Alex only met with seven because the other three captains were out doing missions and couldn't make it to the palace at short notice.
'I am getting addicted to this kingly treatment, and if I am not careful, it will mess with me very badly.' Alex thought about the serious issue, but he still had a big smile.
After spending forty minutes, Alex left the training area with the promised unconditional support from the Chief Captain, but sadly from him, he couldn't use them freely because of the restriction placed on him by Zero.
----------------
'If Varon planned to show me the whole palace, then It would take a whole day to get to the treasury.' Alex thought as he finished the most delicious meal of his life.
After leaving the training area, Varon took Alex to the palace kitchen that had a few hundred chefs working nonstop, making different dishes from high-grade ingredients making the whole kitchen smell incredible.
The head Chef was a kind old grandma belonging to the Human Race, and not so surprisingly, she was a Seventh Rank warrior with the occupation of the Spirit Chef.
The head Chef prepared her best recipe as a welcome gift to Alex, and he enjoyed it, taking his time to savor the dish while also enjoying the crazy short-period Buffs he received."Varon, What are the most important places in the palace," Alex asked as they left the giant kitchen.
"The Palace Garden, Library, Hunting Grounds, Armory, Lab Areas, Sealed Rooms, Training Chambers, Mana Land, Dungeons, Art Gallery, and the Palace Treasury."
"There are many more places, but they are not too important, at least not for the time being," Varon said.
'At least there is a treasury.' Alex thought.
Varon led the way, and Alex silently followed his lead, and in the next four hours, they visited the Palace Garden, Library, Training Chambers, and the Hunting Grounds.
The hunting ground was the least surprising of the four places as it was a large beautiful jungle at the back of the palace filled with different beasts ranging from first to the Seventh Rank.
Alex was still surprised by the quantity of named monsters and wandering world bosses he saw while floating above the vast jungle, but the shock he got after visiting the other three places was much bigger.
The palace garden was the next place Alex visited after leaving the kitchen, and it was surprising, to say the least, as the garden was a few hundred meters in area at a minimum, and it was still inside the boundary of the palace.
The garden was filled with rare plant resources of high quality, and even though Alex only knew the basics of alchemy but after a quick walk in the garden, he understood that this place was more than a treasure trove for any alchemist.
The next place they visited was the library, and just like the garden, it was a huge and magnificent building with seven floors, each with better material than the last, and to Alex's delight, he could visit any floor without any restriction.
The library only had seven floors, but each floor housed thousands of shelves with millions of books ranging from common to priceless treasures that even the strongest of people would desire for themselves.
The library had books of alchemy recipes, blueprints of accessories, Magic spells, Ancient knowledge parchments, Skill Books, and everything else that could be put into words.
After spending a whole hour in the library, Varon took Alex to the training chambers, and they had every feature of a standard training chamber on the human continent and more, with everything being a thousand times better.
After leaving the training chamber, Varon used the levitation spell on Alex making him float in the air.
---------------
'I knew the palace would be big, but this is just unexpected.' Alex thought as he floated higher and higher in the air.
The palace was built on a massive mountain chain, probably covering close to seven to ten kilometers of the mountain surface.
The palace building was massive, reaching a few hundred meters in height, and huge black walls completely circled the palace making the boundary.
The palace building was in the center and took close to two kilometers of the area, while the space between the boundary walls and the palace was divided into different sections as few had giant mansions and few had towering buildings.
The whole area in the boundary walls was flat ground and looked nothing like the top of a mountain and looked more like a bustling city as people could be seen walking around.
"This is Talis Mountain Range, and it is located in the center of the Malefis Domain, and even though the palace doesn't have any official name, people call it the King's palace," Varon said, seeing Alex scanning the whole mountain range.
After telling him about the mansions and the building, Varon took Alex above the vast forest at the back of the palace.
"This is the Aevum Forest, and it is also the oldest and the most dangerous forest in the Malefis Domain," Varon said, standing by Alex's side as they floated high above the forest.
'I am at least a few kilometers above the ground, and I still can't see the end of this sea of trees.' Alex thought as he looked at the sea of towering trees.
Varon briefly told Alex about the forest and showed him a few good areas for hunting, and then they returned to the palace.
"Domain Ruler, Let's do the palace tour another time because the vampire clan members will be arriving shortly, and we still need to visit the palace treasury for you to get some good equipments," Varon said as they landed in the palace boundaries.
'This is great.' Alex thought after hearing about the treasury and good equipments.
Varon opened a portal, and Alex entered it with a bright smile while imagining some wild and broken equipments, but surprisingly, the place he appeared at wasn't the treasury room but the throne room.
'This is the throne room.' Alex thought, looking at the black throne in front of him.
"Domain Ruler, You need to place your hand on the wall behind the throne to open the portal to the Ruler treasury," Varon said, seeing Alex look confused.
'I thought the treasury would be placed on some highly guarded underground floor, but the throne room is not bad.' Alex thought as he quickly climbed the stairs and walked toward the plain black wall.
'I am not surprised that appraisal shows it as a common wall.' Alex thought.
Alex placed his hand on the wall, and immediately foreign energy passed through his body which startled him for a moment, but he regained his calm understanding it should be an identification process.'
In the next few seconds, the plain wall started to twist and turn, and slowly, a swirling portal manifested on it.
After the portal opened, Alex immediately walked into it, and after a moment of darkness, he appeared inside a giant room.
'This place looks much more organized than I imagined.' Alex thought as he looked at hundreds of items displayed on plain black crystal-like stands.
