Who's Your Wifey? 1

The moment she entered the guest house, she heard her daughter crying from where she was standing. Curious as to what was happening while she was gone, she slipped off her shoes and silently walked inside the house and found her little girl sitting on her high chair next to her brother, complaining to Feng Tianyi about something.

Song Fengyan was also there, accompanying her children for dinner.

"What happened?" Tang Moyu asked and placed her laptop bag and coat on the couch before heading to the dining area.

She took a clean napkin and wiped the tears from her daughter's face before taking Little Star from her high chair.

"Darling, why are you crying?" She cooed and hushed her crying daughter.

"Uncle Yan!" Little Star pointed at her Uncle Yan who instantly had a guilty expression on his face, while Feng Tianyi tried to hide his laughter behind his drink.

Tang Moyu raised a brow at him but the devil only shrugged in response.

"Why? Did Uncle Yan hurt you?" She asked Little Star.

The girl shook her head with tears still streaming down her rosy chubby cheeks.

"Did he take your food?" That was definitely something Song Fengyan would do to tease her daughter, Tang Moyu thought. Still, her daughter shook her head.

"Then why are you crying, darling?" The empress couldn't understand.

Little Star sniffed and eyed the chicken leg on her plate like her most precious treasure had been wrecked by her Uncle Yan.

"Uncle Yan called my Teri Chicken yucky! Wuuuuuu! Mommy, Uncle Yan is bad! Uncle Ji cooked the chicken for me but he called it yucky."

Tang Moyu blinked twice at her daughter's words. What the hell did Little Star mean by that?

Her eyes then turned to the two men and found them struggling to contain their laughter. It then dawned upon her why Little Star was crying over her chicken. Her daughter had misunderstood what her Uncle Yan meant and threw a fit over it.

Tang Moyu bit her inner cheek to stop herself from laughing like Feng Tianyi and Song Fengyan. Poor Little Star. She had misunderstood when in fact, her Uncle Yan was talking about the name of the chicken dish Feng Tianyi made and not actually calling it 'yucky'.

It reminded her of that one time when they were still living back in New York. Tang Moyu was driving with Li Meili and her little buns who were buckled in their carseats at the back. They passed a Panda Express restaurant and Little Star saw the sign.

Sitting next to her son who'd rolled his eyes upon hearing what his twin sister said, Tang Moyu tried to calm Little Star down.

"But darling, that's not what your Uncle Yan meant. Have you asked your Uncle Ji the name of this dish he made for you?" She asked her little girl, wiping the tears off her cute face.

Little Star shook her head, making her twin pigtails sway along with her action.

"No, then what is it, Mommy?"

Tang Moyu gave the devil a pointed look before she explained to her daughter that the chicken dish was called "Teriyaki Chicken" and that her Uncle Yan wasn't calling it 'yucky'.

All of this tantrum could have been avoided if Feng Tianyi had explained it to Little Star, but Tang Moyu couldn't really blame him for not knowing that if Little Star felt bad and cried too much, she could pass out.

"So my chicken isn't yucky?" Little Star sniffed. Thank goodness she calmed down, Tang Moyu thought.

"Not at all, darling. It looks delicious. Have you tried it?"

When her daughter said no, she took the initiative to feed Little Star a small portion of the chicken.

"How is it? Yummy, right? Not yucky at all." She asked Little Star again.

Little Star bobbed her head in agreement and gave her mother a wide smile.

"En! It's really good, Mommy! You should try it!"

And so they ate their dinner in peace, with her little buns eagerly eating everything she had put into their bowls.

Before leaving Peach Blossom Garden, Song Fengyan apologized to the empress for making Little Star cry earlier.

"Miss Tang, I really didn't mean to make her cry. I hope you understand that it was all just a misunderstanding." He said while scratching the back of his neck.

Feng Tianyi and Tang Moyu were having tea just outside the porch as the little buns had fallen asleep as soon as their heads touched their pillows in the guest room.

"It's alright, but I hope you'll try to not make her cry again in the future." Tang Moyu looked down at her teacup with a slight frown etched on her face. She still couldn't help but get worried whenever her daughter cried.

When Song Fengyan finally left, Feng Tianyi turned to face her.

"You are worried about Little Star. Why?"

He couldn't understand why the moment Tang Moyu saw Little Star cry earlier, her face turned ashen.

Tang Moyu heaved a sigh and leaned on her seat.

"Remember when I told you that Little Star is a sickly child?" She asked.

"I do recall, that was on the first day we met right? But you never told me why she was sickly." Feng Tianyi replied.

"Well, she was born with a very weak heartbeat. It scared all of us. She also has weak lungs, so whenever she cries, I worry that she would have a hard time breathing on her own. She used to pass out after crying too much." She explained to the man sitting across her.
