Aren’t You Full From the Amount of Words You’ve Eaten? 1
"Uncle Ji said we only need ten to twenty days more, Mommy. And then we can harvest the carrots we've planted. Isn't that great?" Little Star beamed a smile to her mother.
"Wow, what else have you planted? You've planted a lot of veggies, are you sure you would be able to eat them all?" Tang Moyu knelt down beside her daughter as Xiao Bao busied himself watering the other crops across them.
"Uncle Ji said he would be able to make yummy dishes from those, Mommy. I will make sure to eat a lot." The little girl said proudly.
"That's good." Tang Moyu brushed the stray locks away from her daughter's cute face. "You will grow up healthy and strong."
As she looked at her daughter, she wondered why her own mother didn't treat her right. A daughter was a precious gift, just as precious as any son. She was a person in her own right. She was not a vessel for family pride, but a person born equal to men. She was entitled to make as many mistakes as any other and still be a full recipient of family love. But why did her own parents detest her?
Unlike Gu Yuyao who had received a cold treatment from her parents, Tang Moyu endured the harsh cold words from her mother while her father remained distant until his last breath.
"Mommy?" Little Star called her with a worried expression on her face. "Mommy aren't you feeling good?"
Tang Moyu gave her a bland smile and pushed away the unwanted thoughts from her mind. Little Star and Xiao Bao didn't need to know of her grievances. She only wanted them to grow up healthy and happy, like any loving mom would wish for their children.
"Mommy, is it because you and Uncle Ji have disagreements again?" Her daughter curiously asked.
"What made you think that we're having disagreements?" Tang Moyu wondered if Qin Jiran mentioned something about them to her children. She definitely didn't want her twins to misunderstand the situation they were in just because she got involved with their Uncle Ji.
"Because Mommy usually avoids talking to Uncle Ji, but now, he's the one avoiding you. Did Mommy do something bad and Uncle Ji got mad on you?" Little Star responded.
"I don't think Uncle Ji is mad at you, Mommy," Xiao Bao joined their conversation once he overheard Little Star mention their Mommy's disagreement with their Daddy Ji. "But Mommy should apologize to Uncle Ji if you've done something bad, right?"
Tang Moyu wasn't oblivious to the fact that Qin Jiran refused to talk to her lately, always wheeling himself away from her, his face one with a deep frown.
The two little buns looked at her as if they were expecting her to make the first move to talk to their Uncle Ji. She was starting to think that these two would probably team up with Qin Jiran and would only listen to him the more they spend time with each other.
Sometimes, Tang Moyu couldn't help but feel that she was taking advantage of Qin Jiran's kindness by letting him babysit her naughty twins while she was at work.
Perhaps, she could ask for Lu Tianxin's help later to find a good kindergarten where her little buns could attend once they're completely settled here in Shenzhen.
"Don't overthink. Your Uncle Ji and I aren't fighting, but we'll talk about it, okay? Let Uncle Ji and Mommy deal with the problem." She reassured them before turning her head to the gazebo where Qin Jiran was busy working on his laptop again.
Tang Moyu heard from Song Fengyan that his publisher wanted a few amendments to be made on his original script, and Qin Jiran wasn't happy with it. However, he could only comply with their demands, as long as his storyline didn't lose its essence.
She left her twins in Auntie Lu's care and made her way to the gazebo. The moment she stepped in it, Qin Jiran's whole body stiffened and relaxed slightly when their eyes met.
Feng Tianyi closed the lid of his laptop and gave her a blank look as if he was asking her what she wanted now.
"I was told to come here and talk to you," Tang Moyu said as she took a seat across him. "You are mad at me."
Feng Tianyi shook his head and scowled.
"Not mad but I'm upset with you." He easily admitted to the empress. He suddenly remembered He Lianchen's mocking words to him last night. He and Gu Yuyao didn't miss their chance to tease him.
"Tianyi, aren't you full from the amount of words you've eaten already? Not interested in the empress, huh? Look who's talking now. The devil isn't a clown. He's the fucking circus right now!"
Feng Tianyi wasn't bothered or upset with his friend's words, but he was upset by the lack of confirmation on the empress's side!
What did she take him for anyway? When Gu Yuyao asked her about their relationship, the empress neither confirmed nor denied it!
It frustrates him to know that Tang Moyu wasn't acknowledging what they have. Just as he thought that she was willing to give it a shot with him, she acted like it was out of her concern.
"So it's my fault now? What did I do?"
For the love of god, Tang Moyu was still clueless about the issue.
