NSLICE-00P had confirmed Vipstana's corpse, so she prioritized determining Ateia's status. She now soared through the air, tracking Ateia through their Contract. The link was barely needed, as NSLICE-00P was detecting massive mana signatures that were intertwined with Ateia’s own.

As these foes had pulled off a potentially effective termination attempt on her, any considerations of respecting local regulations or obscuring classified capabilities were now significantly lower priority than terminating the threat. And that was before she considered the risk of failing her major directive. So NSLICE-00P rocketed through the sky at maximum speed with no compromises for concealment.

She approached a large villa where Ateia was being held. Her sensors detected a large mana barrier over the structure, so she took out one of her anti-mana storage containers and charged it up at full blast. It reached critical capacity just as she approached the barrier, and she tossed and detonated it ahead of her. A wave of sparkling rainbow light ripped a hole right in the barrier and NSLICE-00P shot through.

She didn't know for sure if the residents of this place were affiliated withe Vipstana, so her initial plan was to pass through unless hostility was confirmed. She planned to smash straight through the floor of the villa’s courtyard into the basement below, but she detected a gap in her perception that was rapidly approaching her. She took evasive action as the undetectable projectile passed her by, only for a fireball to soar through the air towards her. NSLICE-00P formed a mana barrier but the fireball burned the spell structure. NSLICE-00P boosted away, landed on the ground, and turned towards a slightly-pointed ear man in a red robe. She opened fire with her machine guns but a warrior in wooden armor stepped forward, lifting a shield of tangled branches and vines. The vines grew rapidly and blocked the bullets.

“We are the Knights of the New Dawn, and now we can freely use the blessings of the Lords of Mana! You will fall here, barbarian!”

NSLICE-00P responded by forming a Prismatic Bombardment circle that covered the sky. Yellow, red, and blue beams rained from the sky, all with golden and silver highlights.

"Status Report: Hostility confirmed. Terminating hostiles."

The warrior grinned and raised his shield and a red beam struck it. He channeled Overgrowth mana to infinitely repair his shield…

But then his eyes widened. The shield burst into holy flames, the vines shrieking as they burned away. He quickly dropped the shield but he was too late. The flames had spread to his wooden armor…and all his abilities focused on Overgrowth's rapid regeneration. He could only scream as he burst into flames that nullified his corrupted growth.
