The trip to the Imperial Treasury hadn’t taken that long, so the group trained at the Emperor’s dungeon for the rest of the day before returning home. NSLICE-00P flipped through the Grimoire of Arofinas Leolar, recording its contents. She was about to begin an analysis and comparison to other data when she was pinged by 00B. She also heard him scratching at the door to her room.

Upon return from the dungeon, Ateia had initiated physical contact with 00B, apparently to 00B’s surprise. 00B had responded in kind. NSLICE-00P had determined that additional security for the friendlies was desirable, and so had ordered 00B to continue his mission to defend them.

B had hesitantly agreed and so had spent the night in Ateia’s room.

But now that she had finished her immediate task, he was strongly requesting a return to the hangar.

“Requesting Explanation: Please specify justification for return.”

B responded that he had not expected to be left behind during the day. NSLICE-00P had made that call since 00B had been in the midst of a rest cycle when Princess Caecila had picked them up, and so chose to allow 00B to conclude maintenance. She had left him on-site at the villa as an extra sentry in the meantime, since the group was not originally planning to engage in combat. But 00B had a point. As a primary combat asset for the NSLICE network, it was important for 00B to remain ready to deploy as the situation demanded. The group hadn’t returned to the villa after deciding to train at the dungeon, so 00B had ended up unavailable then.

So NSLICE-00P declared 00B’s friendly protection mission as concluded and attempted to Transfer him back to the hangar…
