Even though her face didn't give it away, Lena could tell that the report of events that Genson gave her was half-arsed at best. One that he probably had cobbled together from the little bit of work he had been doing but not from anything solid that he had taken note of to report later.

"You do realize how poor your report sounds? I thought that the quality of work you delivered was better than this." The princess to told him with a sigh as he interrupted him half-way through. He seemed rather offended that she had interrupted him.

"You do know that I am trying my best here but the people who work here aren't exactly the easiest to get talking." Genson retorted. He had for the most part been trying to do his job right. At least so that he didn't have to worry about being found out.

Thus, it was partly true that he was having a hard time getting anyone who worked within the building to talk with him. Most of them were either too busy working to give him any sort of time, ignored him or had their own groups they talked within. He couldn't determine if the coldness that he got from them was because he was losing his skills or if they were just that loyal and suspicious of anyone that the princess didn't seem that fond of..The only ones who had been really willing to tell him anything interesting or noteworthy about what had been going on were older employees who weren't thrilled about the shift in management. Still, this wasn't much use because despite how much they complained, it was obvious that they were too loyal to do anything that might hurt the company.

"I hired you to figure out how to get close to them because you're supposedly a con artist who's good at getting anyone to open. Perhaps that was just a lie though." Lena replied. She was annoyed that this was all the progress that had been made by him since she had been out of the office. It should've come as no surprise to her considering how much of a scammer he was.

At least there was Eve she could rely on for what she would hope be something more useful as she had been more consistent than Genson had about sending her information about what she found if anything came up as a red flag to her as she was going through the system.

"It's not a lie. I'm just not used to dealing with these type of people so it takes me a bit longer to figure out how to get them to open up. I still have reported on a few interesting things to you haven't I?" He asked trying not to sound as offended as he felt at the current moment in time.

"It's not much more than what I could rely on someone else to find out for me if I really wanted to. I think you're perhaps better suited to be a office assistant after all." She said rather dismissively with a sharp tone. He didn't appreciate the way that she was talking to him, but before he had a chance to say anything about it, Samuel interjected into the conversation.

"Genson, I don't think arguing about the facts are going to get you anywhere. Perhaps it would be better if you just focused on getting back to your job or fetching us something to drink to help you cool off." Samuel's suggestion only served to annoy the man more. He didn't think the younger man was in a position to speak to him in such a way even if he was the princess's fiancé.He got ready to turn to the other and say something but stopped when something caught his eye. From the way Samuel was sitting on the sofa with this arm draped out across the side closest to him, he was able to note the cufflink that the other had on. Oh? was that thing the reason why he thought that he could talk as he pleased to the other?

"Alright?" Samuel asked when Genson didn't say anything but instead kept staring at him. He was pretty sure that the other would've noticed the cufflink that he had on which was the whole point with the way he chose to sit when talking with the other. A subtle reminder that the con artist might want to be careful how he chose to interact with those who around them since he didn't know what kind positions they held.

"Very well. Though I still don't appreciate the my job ethic is being discussed. I will be back shortly with drinks." Genson conceded realizing that it might be better at this point to take a more back seat position and see where Samuel would end up fitting into everything.

He certainly didn't think that the other would prove to be any kind of threat to him, but he didn't know what kind of power the younger man had with the backing of the Vedova Nera family or where he felt within the chain of command.

"Here's an idea to think about as well while you're out Genson," Samuel called out to the other before he had a chance to leave the office.

"Perhaps if you got drinks for some of your fellow employees or offered to pay for their lunch they might be more willing to be welcoming and chat with you."

"Noted." Genson replied shortly. The thought of that idea made him cringe inwardly. That would require him to spend some of the hard earned money that he had.

Even though he had more than enough to live off of, he hated spending any more than he absolutely needed to because seeing his bank account do down any amount stressed him out. Especially when it was due to the fact that he was spending it on other people he couldn't care less about.
